Time to Celebrate!

This cruise is a celebration of ten months on Medifast! I started Medifast ten months ago today (June 24) weighing 260 pounds and wearing size 24W/3X pants and 22W/2X tops. I had hit the threshold for diabetes, I was on medication for cholesterol and gastric reflux, and I felt old. While doing an internet search for yet another diet to try, I came across information about Medifast. When I saw that it was the same program that Johns Hopkins uses, and when I read some of the success stories and saw the before and after pictures, I knew I had to give it a try.

Ten months later, I have lost 112 pounds and am only 8 pounds away from my weight loss goal! I am wearing size 8 slacks, size 6 dresses and skirts, and size 4 jackets/blazers. Best of all, I am no longer diabetic and my cholesterol and blood pressure are perfect - without medication! I'm no longer on medication for gastric reflux, either! I've lost weight and gotten healthy - what a gift!

So many wonderful people in the Medifast on-line community have encouraged, inspired and supported me on my journey and I can hardly wait to meet some of them on the cruise! We will ALL be celebrating our weight loss and the friendships that have been formed along the way.

I am so thankful to God for leading me to Medifast - it has changed my life! I am now a certified health coach with a passion to help others change their lives, too.

Time to get packed!!

Ready to CRUISE!

Hi - I am a single mom in Colorado. I will be celebrating my big 50th birthday in May of this year, so I thought the weight loss and cruise would be a perfect present to myself!

I started the MF diet in November of 2007 and I have lost 47 lbs. I have 15 lbs to go. Medifast has been a GREAT diet for me because it makes menu planning so simple. I've never been one to do a lot of cooking or planning or preparing. Just point me to a fast food or takeout place and I'm good to go. Hence my problem!

As soon as I heard about the Medifast cruise I wanted to go. I have been on 3 other cruises and I love them! This time I'm going all by myself - no husband, no kids! I am looking forward to just spending time with the fabulous new friends I've met on the MF boards. I am so excited to meet my roommate who lives in Iowa.

I have been busily shopping, packing, and shopping some more for the last month. I think I am finally almost ready! Since I've lost all this weight and 5 sizes, I obviously need new everything. It has been such fun to buy smaller, "normal" sizes although I'm sure I've spent too much money. Thank goodness the cruise was so reasonable.

Well, I'm off to get the manicure/pedicure! Can't go on a cruise without that!
